Add a Best Lawyers badge to your email signature
Add your badge in Gmail or Outlook and link it to the correct Best Lawyers profile.
Have the badge and customized code supplied by Best Lawyers ready. The src value is the image address; the href value is the destination profile address. Copy only the address inside the quotation marks, not the entire code. Use your own supplied values, not the sample addresses in the FAQ.
Gmail on a computer
- Open Gmail, then choose Settings > See all settings. Under General, find Signature.
- Select a signature to edit, or choose Create new and give it a name.
- Place the cursor where the badge should appear. Select Insert image > Web Address (URL), paste the image address from src, and insert it.
- Select the badge and choose the link control. If a link is already present, choose Change. Set the web address to the profile address from href, then confirm.
- Under the signature defaults, choose when to use this signature for new messages and replies or forwards. Scroll to the bottom and select Save Changes.
For more help, see Google’s signature instructions.
Outlook
First, save the supplied badge image to your computer. Keep the profile address from href available.
Choose the setup path for your version:
- New Outlook for Windows or Outlook on the web: Open Settings > Accounts > Signatures, choose the correct account if needed, and select Add signature. Name the signature.
- Classic Outlook for Windows: Start a new message, then choose Message > Signature > Signatures. Select the email account, choose New, and name the signature.
Then finish setting up the badge:
- In the signature editor, insert the saved badge using the image control. Select the badge and use the link control to add the profile address.
- Choose whether this signature should appear on new messages and replies or forwards. Select Save in new Outlook or the web version, or OK in classic Outlook.
Menus vary by version. See Microsoft’s Outlook signature guide for version-specific instructions, including its link to Outlook for Mac.
Check the result
Send yourself a test message. Confirm the badge displays clearly, opens the intended profile, and appears on the message types you selected.
If Gmail does not show the image, check that you used the image address rather than the profile address. Google also recommends trying another supported image insertion method. See Gmail signature troubleshooting.
